David Sánchez

David Sánchez, ganador del premio GRAMMY®, y reconocido en todo el mundo como uno de los mejores saxofonistas de su generación presenta su nuevo trabajo discográfico TAMBÓ. Un desafiante proyecto, desarrollado por Sánchez, a partir de las tramas musicales y rítmicas que unen las ciudades de Loiza (Puerto Rico) y Palenque (Colombia).

David Sánchez, a GRAMMY® Award winner and recognised worldwide as one of the finest saxophonists of his generation, presents his new album, TAMBÓ. A bold project conceived by Sánchez, drawing on the musical and rhythmic threads that link the cities of Loiza (Puerto Rico) and Palenque (Colombia).

This new project, due for worldwide release next May, follows on from his acclaimed and multi-nominated recordings, including Obsesión, Melaza, Coral and Carib. The new album will be presented in a quintet format alongside his renowned musicians: Luis Perdomo (piano); Tony Escapa (drums); Ricky Rodríguez (double bass); Franklin Tejedor (bombo alegre); Jhaan Lee Aponte (bombo barril); Camilo Molina (percussion).

Mario Laginha

Mário Laginha es uno de los pianistas y compositores de jazz más respetados de Portugal. Aunque arraigada en ese género, su música se enriquece con influencias brasileñas, africanas, clásicas y portuguesas. Es conocido por su larga colaboración con la cantante Maria João, así como por sus dos activos tríos: el Mário Laginha Trio con Bernardo Moreira y Alexandre Frazão, y el LAN Trio con Julian Argüelles y Helge Norbakken.

Laginha has also worked closely with Pedro Burmester and Bernardo Sassetti, and has composed for major orchestras and ensembles throughout Europe. He has shared the stage with artists such as Trilok Gurtu, Gilberto Gil, Ralph Towner, Wolfgang Muthspiel and Manu Katché. His work encompasses jazz, classical composition, and music for theater and film.

Maria João celebra cuatro décadas de una trayectoria artística única con el lanzamiento de Abundância, un álbum que marca un regreso a sus raíces más profundas.
