Juanjo Corbalán Cuarteto
La agrupación dirigida por el músico arpista, compositor y arreglador paraguayo Juanjo Corbalán, reúne y rescata sonoridades de la música popular paraguaya, combinando varios elementos de los ritmos tradicionales de la música instrumental paraguaya, latinoamericana e influencias jazzísticas. Incorporando de esta manera al instrumento folclórico del Paraguay, como es el arpa, dentro de un contexto musical más libre.
En el 2022 en plena gira europea, el cuarteto obtuvo el primer premio como finalista del concurso del “Dutch Harp Festival” realizado en la ciudad de Utrecht, Países Bajos, evento que aglutinó a arpistas de todo el mundo.

The group directed by the Paraguayan harpist musician, composer and arranger Juanjo Corbalán, brings together and rescues sonorities of Paraguayan popular music, combining several elements of the traditional rhythms of Paraguayan and Latin American instrumental music and jazz influences. In this way, incorporating the folkloric instrument of Paraguay, such as the harp, within a freer musical context. In 2022, in the middle of the European tour, the quartet won first prize as a finalist in the “Dutch Harp Festival” competition held in the city of Utrecht, the Netherlands, an event that brought together harpists from all over the world.

El dúo cuenta con un repertorio amplio y diverso, centrado en la música popular argentina (clásicos del tango y del folklore) y en composiciones propias escritas especialmente para esta formación.
Desde su inicio (2013), han realizado producciones musicales que les valieron dos Premios Gardel, varias giras por Europa, conciertos en Brasil, colaboraciones con artistas nacionales e internacionales y músico para cine. Así mismo han llevado su música en vivo a Brasil, donde se presentaron en conciertos a sala llena y ovacionados en Porto Alegre (2023) y en el Festival de Joinville 2024.

The duo has a wide and diverse repertoire, focused on Argentine popular music (tango and folklore classics) and on their own compositions written especially for this formation. Since its inception (2013), they have made musical productions that earned them two Gardel Awards, several tours of Europe, concerts in Brazil, collaborations with national and international artists and music for cinema.
