Elodie Bouny & Iara Ferreira: Caravana do Amanhā
A bold work by Elodie Bouny & Iara Ferreira, with a unique sound, songs based on both popular and erudite, poetic and colloquial traditions, and which, in a link between the careers and lives of the two composers, bring together Latin American and European musical traditions.
The partnership, songs by Elodie and lyrics by Iara, brings out the woman in the main role.
In an unusual context in Latin America, the women creators of “Caravana do Amanha” position themselves in a unique way, the author and lyricist of songs and a composer and instrumentalist, who stand out in the mostly male universe of their crafts.
The show offers the public a journey through genres that are not currently widespread, such as barcarola, bolero, Argentine aires de cueca, Andean influences and Brazilian rancher waltz – with songs that tell, in lyrics in Portuguese and Spanish, stories of affection, struggle, enchantment and the desire for a kinder and more equal future for humanity, through the eyes of these two women.
Caravana do Amanhā Tour 2024
This year -continuing the tour they began last year in Latin America- the duo will tour several countries in Europe between October and November 2024.
During 2023, with the support of the Ibermúsicas Program, in the circulation area, the duo performed in Latina American: the album was premiered in a show at the SESC Pompéia theater (SP) and then at Casa do Choro (RJ) in April 2023. Shows were also held in Paraguay, Argentina and Colombia (at the Medejazz Festival, Medellín) as part of the Feria del Libro de Medellín.

Composer, arranger and guitarist, she works as a soloist and member of several duo projects (Duo Andrea Ernest-Dias and Elodie Bouny), and trio (Iroko Trio).
As an arranger, she has orchestrated several pieces in partnership with Yamandu Costa that have been played by prestigious orchestras (Salle Pleyel, in Paris; Teatro São Pedro, in Porto Alegre; Teatro Cine Odeon, in Cuiabá; at the Rotkäppchen Sektkellerei, in Leipzig; La Philharmonie, in
Paris, São Paulo Municipal Theater, Cecilia Meireles Room, among others).
She directed the recording of several CDs, including: Mafuá by Yamandu Costa, Tocata à Amizade by Yamandu Costa (winner of the 2016 Brazilian Music Award in the categories Best CD and Best group), Calendar of the (A)fetus by Carlos Walter, Brazilian Suites from the Guitar Chamber, Cainã Cavalcante Current, Recanto de Yamandu Costa, among others.
Iara Ferreira
Composer, singer, writer and teacher.
With a history of more than 80 partners with which she composes lyrics over melody and is considered one of the most fruitful lyricists of her generation, in addition to also composing solo songs.
Among her partners are renowned artists of Brazilian music such as Eduardo Gudin, Arismar do Espírito Santo and Hélio Delmiro and important names in contemporary music such as André Mehmari, Elodie Bouny, Bebê Kramer, Rogério Caetano, João Camarero, Ilessi, among many others.
Her work already exceeds 300 songs created and around 100 recorded by herself or performers in Brazil, Argentina, Switzerland, the United States and Germany.
Since 2015 she has been performing and traveling with shows and various works throughout Brazil and abroad.
